Sip & SELebrate: A Day of Inspiration, Empowerment, and Community

A few weeks ago, I had the incredible opportunity to host our Sip & SELebrate event in Southern California. The experience was nothing short of amazing, as a group of powerhouse women educators, district leaders, and parents came together with a common goal: to support, inspire, and SELebrate one another.

As I stood before this incredible group of individuals, I was reminded of why we do what we do here at SELebrate Good Times. The energy in the room was palpable, and the sense of community was overwhelming. Seeing my people, OUR herd, the heart-centered educators and change makers who pour their hearts and souls into their work, reignited my passion for our mission.

Throughout the day, we explored how AI can be leveraged to create personalized teacher assistants, save time, make learning visible, and develop writing units that cater to the needs of all students without spending countless hours on planning and preparation. But it didn’t stop there. We ALSO talked about how we can bridge that gap from school to home, and how our families can use AI to ease frustration, and create the extra helping hand parents need to give our kids the support they need. The excitement and enthusiasm from everyone was contagious as they discovered new ways to enhance their teaching practices and better support their students and kids.

"AI is my new best friend."
"There are endless possibilities with AI!"
"I left with practical information for how to use AI to help support my daughter with homework to avoid her becoming overwhelmed. Thank you!!"

What struck me the most was the level of empowerment and motivation that was weaved throughout our time together. Every single person who attended brought their unique experiences, challenges, and triumphs to the table, which created THE most incredible community of shared knowledge and wisdom. The conversations were filled with "aha" moments, laughter, and even a few tears as we bonded over our shared passion for education and the well-being of our students and children at home.

"So many of us are in the same boat. Always remember the sunshine."
"I have herd members so close to me and I am NOT alone."
"I can continue on the path of being a resource and supporting parents, teachers, and schools with an attempt of open dialogue and collaborating in solutions."
"EVERY professional development should include champagne!"

As I reflect on this Sip & SELebrate, I am filled with gratitude for the incredible community we have built at SELebrate Good Times. Our intimate, intentional, and exclusive events are curated specifically for our community, and the connections that deepen during these gatherings are truly so incredibly special.

As we look ahead to the new year, I am thrilled to share that we have some incredible things in the works at SELebrate Good Times. We are committed to bringing you even more valuable resources, events, and opportunities to connect with like-minded educators who share your passion for making a difference.

Cheers to what’s to come, y’all!
