Transforming Education, One Classroom at a Time: The Power of the BISON Mentality

As educators, we all know the challenges that come with managing a classroom, engaging students, and creating a positive learning environment. It's a demanding job that can often leave us feeling overwhelmed, unsupported, and on the verge of burnout. But what if there was a way to transform the way we teach, connect with our students, and create lasting change in our classrooms?

Kim Gameroz
Enter the BISON Mentality and the coaching model offered by Teaching Inside Out.

This heart-centered, supportive, and actionable approach to education has been proven to have a HUGE impact on educators and their classrooms, as demonstrated by a recent case study conducted in a district that has fully invested in this COACHING program for the past two years.

The results speak for themselves:
  • Before the program, the percentage of educators who felt prepared (rating 4 or 5) to teach into the lagging social and emotional skills of their students increased from 25% to 89% after completing the program, a 256% increase.

  • Prior to the program, the percentage of educators who felt connected (rating 4 or 5) to their students and families increased from 43% to 93% upon completion, a 116% increase.

  • The percentage of educators who felt safe (rating 4 or 5) at school and in their classrooms increased from 50% before the program to 93% after participating, an 86% increase.

  • Before the program, the percentage of educators who felt calm while teaching in their classrooms (rating 4 or 5) increased from 25% to 86% after the program, a 244% increase.

  • The percentage of educators who felt very confident (rating 4 or 5) in using phrases and supports to trigger expected behaviors in their students increased from 18% before the program to 93% after completing it, a 417% increase.

  • The percentage of educators who gave out referrals for student behavior often or very often (rating 4 or 5) decreased from 32% before the program to just 4% after completing it, an 88% decrease.

These numbers are a testament to the power of the BISON Mentality and the incredible work that educators are doing every day with the support of Teaching Inside Out's coaching model. By investing in this transformative approach to education, district leaders are creating a culture of support, empowerment, and resilience that will have a lasting impact on educators, students, and the community as a whole.

Our Impact

But the benefits of the BISON Mentality and Teaching Inside Out's coaching model go beyond just the numbers. As one Director of Instruction and Professional Learning put it, "Kim has helped make so many teachers in Dry Creek bring the 'calm' back to their classroom. She has created a group of BISON that are running into the storm together!"

This is the kind of impact that we all strive for as educators – to create a sense of calm, connection, and resilience in our classrooms, and to empower our students to thrive both academically and emotionally.

If you're an educator who is feeling overwhelmed, unsupported, or on the verge of burnout, know that you are not alone. The BISON Mentality and Teaching Inside Out's coaching model are here to support you, guide you, and help you transform your classroom from the inside out.
